Jennifer is a private practitioner and consultant. She
received her B.A. at Boston University and Master's of Social Work at
The University of New England, Me. She is an experienced clinician
of nearly 20 years who is primarily trained in Cognitive Behavioral
psychotherapy with an emphasis on depression and anxiety. Further
emphasis has been on adolescents,
adults and Employee Assistance Programs, where she is contracted with a
variety of company's EAP in order to provide short-term therapy to
employees and their families.

Jack has extensive experience in working with mental health, behavioral
and life issues. He has been affiliated with Newton Square Counseling
Center for 6 years, and has over 11 years of clinical experience. He
provides individual therapy to adults, couples, families, adolescents
and children ages 9 and over. He has extensive experience in the
treatment of anxiety, depression, substance and behavioral addictions,
strategies in stress management, parenting, anger management, men's
issues, grief, marriage and relationships, divorce, elderly and
caregiver support. Jack is also certified in Critical Incident Stress
Debriefing.
Jack accepts most major insurances and is affiliated with a number of

has been licensed as a mental health counselor for 12 years and
specializes in the treatment of clients and/or families suffering from
the effects of substance abuse. Experience includes individual and
group treatment, supervision and training in the area of both mental
health and addiction issues. She has also conducted court evaluations,
performed crisis intervention services, and sees clients with chronic
mental illness, trauma histories, and dual-diagnosis. Presently she is
in private practice and is a provider for most health insurance
companies, including HMOs.

By working collaboratively with people and listening well to her clients, Marilyn's focus is to have her counseling lead to hope, healing and change. To support her clients to reach that point, she may use one of a variety of approaches such as cognitive therapy, relaxation skills, psycho-education, self-care/wellness strategies, relationship/assertiveness skills, or identification of support systems. She works with adults and has considerable experience seeing people with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance abuse combined with mental health issues. She also likes doing transition work with people feeling distress due to life stressors involving change or loss. She has a special interest in helping people to cope with health and pain problems. Her aim overall is to have people move from distress to coping; to build hope, healing and change; to help people see their strengths even though they may not recognize them at the start of treatment.

Louisa has trained extensively in the use of mindfulness and
psychotherapy. She has completed an internship at Jon Kabat-Zinn's
"Mindfulness Based Stress Management Program" at UMass Medical Center.
She has found that Mindfulness combined with psychotherapy to be an
effective path to move beyond our negative self-concepts and fears, and
to gradually experience our essential wholeness. She is also trained in
cognitive and behavior therapy . For sexual abuse and other trauma
work, she is a certified practitioner of DBT (dialectical behavior therapy) and EMDR .
